About Me

My name is Jessica Movius. I live in Lewiston, Idaho, with my husband, Jeremy, and our three daughters, Bailee, Samantha, and Makayla.

We also have two resident cats who think they own the place, except when we have visitors. Then they are usually no where to be seen.

Jeremy and I got married in October of 2001. I do not think I have ever had a great peace than the day, we were married. I had been searching for the "right one" for quite many years and to finally have him as my own was one of the most wonderful moments in my life.

Bailee was almost six-years-old when we got married, so we had instant family. It was challenging the first year for all of us. Bailee and I to include someone else into our already established routine and for Jeremy to become a husband and a father all in one day.

Due to some financial choices we had made, Jeremy did not legally adopt Bailee until October of 2006. I am sorry to say we did not make this a priority before, because it has truly brought peace into Bailee's life like I just did not realize was needed.

Not long after our first anniversary, we had our daughter, Samantha. Bailee was so excited to have a baby sister. I love the pictures I have of the two of them together not long after Samantha was born. Sam is the emotion of our household. There is nothing to small to cry about, but she has a compassionate heart and never wants to see anyone left out.

Two years after that we add Makayla, who is the spit and vinegar of our crew. She rules her older sisters like the little dictator she could be if we allowed her. Let me clarify, when we are not around, her sisters allow her to rule them. That does not happen when Jeremy and I are there.

We are an amazing family. God has blessed me to no end with the people he has put into my life. I come from a family of eight siblings and my husband has five brothers. We have a small community between us and we love it. We would not have it any other way.

Jeremy asked me once why I decided to name my site 1christianmom and it is because I know I am just one of many moms out there trying to love their husbands, raise their families, and be who Christ has called them to be.
